What is ROR?
ROR refers to a person being released on their own recognizance. This means that you do not have to put up any bail and the Judge will release you on your own promise to return to court for the next scheduled appearance. If you do not appear in court on the scheduled date, a judge can then issue a bench warrant for your arrest and if arrested, you may then be required to pay bail before you can be released again.
